Disappointed, but hope it works out.
Q: (Stefano Mancini – La Stampa) Kimi, will you help Vettel to win his championship this year?
Kimi Raikkonen: I can only drive one car, obviously.

Why Norris? Too inexperienced, can't beat Russel in F2, nowhere near as dominant in F2 as Stoffel. I guess they just don't want to loose him. Anyway lets hope he proves to be Ham 2

Magnussen and Vandoorne didn't work out, now they hope for the third time being luckier. If the car is a pig, Norris will be out the door within 2 years. Hopefully, for his sake, it proves to be more competitive than this year's car.

He will have the advantage of not being against Alonso, so will not look bad for a couple of 10ths.
I share your feeling though

PER, MAG and now VAN all crushed by the McLaren machine... Hope Stoffel can get the STR seat as it may be the only one open. He does have Honda experience.

There are still a few rounds to go, and he's 2nd in the standings.

Magnussen and Perez were paired with Button though.

I know Button usually gets slagged, but he was a very good driver and for a complete newby it will always be a challenge against a world champion. There are a lot of things that get you points as well as fast driving.
Button was good with tyres and had second sense with the rain too

Ocon failed the seat fitting for this year's car (I presume the 2010 car isn't much different). Seems his height (1.97cm?) is outside the norm (Alonso, Sainz, etc. are all a lot shorter).
Hopefully Perez or Norris to be announced shortly.
Ocon i 1.86m tall. And you probably mean 2019 car?

Perez came in at the worst moment possible. They just had a good 2012 season, took a gamble with a complete new design which didn't work where others choose to develop their '12 car and focus more on '14 and had to step into HAM's boots while coming off a good season with Sauber... plus it was the first year without direct Daimler support. In their minds they were back at '88 but it turned out to be '80.... 2014 almost the same story. Big hopes, big words... and as soon as the season was a couple of races old they wrote off the season and started imagining how wonderful life would be with that Honda engine.
