Autobild reporting Albon for next year after RedBull buying his contract and Pascal looking into FE after losing out. Would be a good choice as Pascal is overrated and has not done anthing this year to warrant the seat.
That's something I can agree on. He was 0.04% faster than an overweight Ericsson who was losing like 0.3% because of his weight. Pascal is mediocre.

Do you have a link of the article on Autobild @McMika98 ? I can not find the article.

I could only find this:

" Alex Albon, der nach Informationen von AUTO BILD MOTORSPORT selbst kurz vor der Verkündung bei Toro Rosso steht."

I’m thinking it will be Mick Schumacher, because Red Bull always brings sensation on the grid and a name like Schumacher should bring $$$ for Red Bull as well!

Mick has done well in F3 but he didn't win any of the last three races. He needs a season in F2 first before making the step up IMO.

Mick himself said that he doesnt want to join f1 that soon and wants to take it slowly. Also i doubt ferrari would let redbull take the Schumacher name from them

So who has a Superlicense from the RB camp (young driver or past driver)? Marko has already said he wouldn't take Ocon due to the Merc contract so who does that leave who is able to drive?

Wehrlein, Stoffel and Albon seemingly out and in FE.

Basically nobody, which is why we've had pages of pages of speculation and in the end they took back Kyvat to fill one of the seats.

That’s why I say Mick Schumacher even though, he thinks it’s too soon. Marko will make him an offer he can’t refuse, despite backed by Mercedes. Other than that, Gelael?

If their point is to keep STR as test bench for Honda PU and sacrifice points in WDC then they should take Gelael and his Indonesian money. Other than that I don't see a reason why to employ him..

(This post is not directed at any one individual)

I don't know why people keep saying that STR is a test bench for the Honda PU. They don't do any more laps in FP sessions than the other teams. There are 4 hours of FP, enough time for almost 2-3 race distances and then of course one more race distance on Sunday (for each car).

In Japan Hartley, in Fp1-3 did only 63 laps, 10 more laps than the race distance, and a few of them will be slow in/out laps.

I know they have a limited number of sets of tyres for the weekend, but STR are still clearly structuring the weekend's lappery around optimal engine/tyre usage and race pace, rather than sacrificing the race for engine mileage.

That STR are solely a Honda test bed is just bunkum to me.
