No, those were the cars he overtook on track. I watched his onboard channel on F1 TV.
I really wanted to see his onboards, shame I live in the UK

Also, they should run the black vortex generators. Looks very aggressive.

what was the reason for running these in that colour? were they a new design or in a new place, and they didn't have time to paint them?

apparently, he did a double overtake, would love to this as well. Also is there anyway that someone in the UK can have f1 tv?

I didn't notice Waffle overtake much on track. Good strategy though and 4 people in front of him retired.

As for McLaren vs Force India in qualy... Alonso was on softer tyres iirc.

Nice for Waffle to get some points though, there was definitely a double points finish there.
How old are you?
What has my age got to do with anything.
It has to do alot, when u call somebody a "Waffle".
If i would get the money to start my own F1 team, i would revive Arrows

Stoffelwaffle or simply Waffle is a common nickname given to him (defying Belgian stereotypes, he actually prefers pancakes, though). Fans created a subreddit for him called Stoffelwaffle and I've heard TV commentators referring to him by his Waffle-themed nicknames.

I found this [all the overtakes he did in the race]. The double overtake is also in there, he overtook a Toro Rosso and Williams at the same time :)

It's a play on his surname and the fact he's Belgian who are famous for Waffles. I didn't make it up but I found it suits him when I first read it.

Can you step down from your high horse now as you might end up seeming a bit ageist and a killjoy. I don't care what age you are.
Finally, everyone knows that Red Bull is a joke and Max Verstappen is overrated.

Sadly too late to renew his contract with McLaren, but I am happy to see his performing improving.

Does anyone have any idea who is leading the development for next year's chassis? The most recent addition to the team was Pat Fry and he is the new engineering director. So, I'm not sure if he is basically considered the CTO (Chief Technical Officer) of the chassis department.

Well, at least the team is starting to function as it should. Good pitstops, good tactics and trying to make the most out of all the situations. Good score by Vandoorne and very important as well in the battle with Force India.
I think it's because this year has been a big wake-up call for everyone. Even if the previous Honda powered chassis weren't as bad as this year's, there were clear inadequacies in the team. With the new PU deal and some calmer heads at the helm, maybe everyone is putting in the extra work required to reach the ultimate goal.

Getting rid of Eric Boullier was a great move and the most important one in the restructuring process...

I couldn't stand Boullier. I agree, that was great move by Zak to get rid of him.

Strange to see Eric go when he has ties with Renault, which is this year's PU for Mclaren. Did it go any better when Boullier left?
