Therefore i henceforth announce that, vis-a-vis, this belligerence makes me bel esprit, ergo i try to be smart by using this stiff, uptight lingua i look up from the dictionary.
Also, using loads of commas(,) messes the structure of the sentence nicely and makes it hard to read; i.e smart.

hows about when we all get the shits with your useless unconstructive criticism and start using other languages than english you be a smart ass then! When Bernard and Tomba have a convo in french, Reca in Italian and Monstro in portuguese, you make comments as well structured and witty as the ones they make in english. The law is not an ass...but i can think of someone who might be.

Btw, I think the idea of strictly limited testing would be good for the sport. Budget caps would be good too, but they have to be done together. if you have limited testing then you simply do more on the dyno, in the tunnel etc. not perfect but still...
If you only have the budget cap then we already have discussed the ways around it.

I might be in the minority here, but I rate F1 as a spec series anyway. since everybody has to have 10cylinders and essentially the same body etc then its spec racing. Every time someone does something new and cool, someone else complains and it gets banned.

Open up the rules a bit more and leave some room for innovation, if you want to slow the cars down and make it more exciting and techy (and maybe advance the road car a bit more too) then ban hydraulic/pneumatic valves. If you want revs then, develop camless valve actuation. Otherwise you get stuck at about 16000 and you save a lot of engines (and a lot of money by not having a pneumatic system in your engine)

the main reason that i dont think a set team budget will work is because it could allow the best team to be the one with the best accountants (figureing out ways around the cap by doing things discussed earlier in this forum, like having sponsors set up alternate companies, engine mnfc spending, etc.) instead of the best engineers - and i dont think that is how auto racing should be. there has to be another solution.

That's true. So much of the design work of the car can be done in smaller units behind the scenes, there's no way you could control that. Maybe Mercedes would invest a couple dozen million euro's in bringing about new materials for their race car engines, and then by a freaky chance the same technologies are used on mercedes F1 engines.
You just couldn't control it. F1 would become a game of who can hide their investments the best, who's the best liar. I somehow think ferrari would be pretty strong there. Fair game isn't exactly their trademark.
