Red Bull RB15

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

Isn't this illegal?

I was thinking the same. Probably falls in the area that was extended further forward for 2019?

Are they trying to create more suction at the S duct with this kind of spoiler

It's possible this is a grey area that was missed in the rules perhaps? The area the barge boards used to sit in was lowered 150mm and then moved forwards. Perhaps they've taken that to mean the 150mm lowering doesn't apply to the new area 100mm forward from the old limit?

Does anyone have a better picture of the mirrors?

I think it's just a gloss black section that look like openings. Probably trying to hide something or direct attention to this area away from another. Like when they painted exhaust vents on the engine cover and few years ago.

Crazy where the engine cover already starts to move inwards. Overall a pure evulution of RB14.
I hope these can cool the engine.

No, it's gloss paint. You can see it easily on the high res pics Clown posted.

As always, the Team Thread is the Place for Livery Talk, not the Car Thread. A post has been moved.

They added an extra element to their mid wing and put that wisker wing lower along with bargeboard regulations, I don't want to say I called it, but they did go in the direction I mentioned.
