What’s FX Gandharva?
The second sound channel in F1TV. Bottom right corner. No commentary, just engine sound!
Switching from English to FX does not have any effect right now.....or are interviews always pushed through?
It works. At interviews they switch. Watching it the whole day in this setting.

Interesting to see that two the Merc drivers have set basically the same time. Also, interesting how slow they are in S2. Hamilton has been 20-30kmh slower through there consistently. Some obvious "driving to a delta" for the Merc team as they potter around 2 seconds "off the pace" (yes, I know it's the first day of testing, hence the use of quote marks).
If you are more fortunate than others, build a larger table not a taller fence.

Very interesting top speed list. This is similar to the top speeds measured in Qualy 2018. +3 kph for Red Bull, Torro Rosso and McLaren; -4kph for Ferrari. Ok the conditions are much cooler, and it might be worth to map for torque instead of topspeed but still.

Simply a high downforce setup for Seb?

Honestly, the motorsport/autosport live crawl is more informative and gives you a better sense of what's actually happening than the tv coverage from sky.

it's nightmare-procedure. It screws up the critical last hour before GP start. I hope teams will return this mess back to FIA.

Isola of pirelli just said the track surface is much rougher this year than it was last year for the race and compared to the winter test it's not even comparable. So possibly faster track, but more tire shredding.

Is it just me or is Merc pulling the same bs as last year where they aren't even going to attempt to set a fast lap?

I think so. Especially when you look at the lower rearwing element. The one on the Ferrari is huge compared to Merc or RedBull.

What does a chrome mould do differently to a normal one?
Mario Isola wrote:"The reason why we introduced this technology is because the hypersoft last year and the C4/C5 [softest 2019 compounds], are very sticky and, when you vulcanise and cook the tyre, it is difficult for the mould sometime.

"You see small imperfections on the tread because of this adhesion between the compound and the moulds. With the new moulds, they are a lot better.

"They look nicer, in terms of technology it is better but the specification is the same that we used in Abu Dhabi [test] last year."
