Scuderia Toro Rosso STR14

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

It's not asymmetric.

This.
It's a reflection.

The Black part to the right of the exhaust is indeed simply a reflection combined with the flashing light obscuring the view of the actual bodywork (in the shade). The bodywork is symmetric.

Not really part of the car per se, but TR are using Red Bull's steering wheel design now (seems identical according to pictures)

Similar to Haas using Ferrari's design in recent years.

Isnt the cooling exit on the left side a bit wider than on the right? Obviously both exit openings have the same height, this is just a reflection.

Also the packaging of the honda pu is crazy. Hopefully toro rosso and redbull wont have the same issues as mclaren back then with size zero... this is clearly an aero advantage.

Hmmm. The RB has this huge gap around the exhaust, I wonder how can TR be this tight when they have the same PU.
Also the shape of the body seems pretty much identical otherwise. The intakes on the sidepods or the rollbar don't seem to be larger either, just differently shaped and RB lacking the triangular shaped inner intake.

That is actually an interesting question. I haven’t the slightest idea.

RB could have just gone conservative as it is their first year with this engine. TR already have one year of first-hand experience.

RB is privy to all the data. Besides it's a brand new engine that was developed with RB and Honda working together.
