The Williams F1 Team have today confirmed that Paddy Lowe, its former technical chief will leave the team after having been made inactive several months ago.
This forum contains threads to discuss teams themselves. Anything not technical about the cars, including restructuring, performances etc belongs here.
Well then give us a definition and stop turning circles about Adrian Newey.
Take a deep breath first, all im reading is blame blabla blame blabla blame.
I suggest reading my comments above where I have, and where it came from and what it applies to. You got caught making assumptions about a word and its usage that you have no clue about.
Rumor has it that there are issues with brakes, suspension and floor. Parts still haven't left Grove apparently.
Not surprised at all. They won't be there tomorrow and they'll likely be missing the rest of this test. They'll be lucky to make the next one or even the start of the season. It does make me half-wonder whether this is an excuse because they can't afford to go testing. No Formula 1 team can be this badly organised.
I have removed some posts as this thread is getting out of hand with continual personal insults about various team members.
Please tone down your comments and stop the insults and abuse.
Thanks

..............and you have left the insulting one in that I insightfully replied to.
So the other rumour I heard that WIlliams have found a wonderful loophole and do not want anybody else copying it yet so are delaying their reveal.
taking there ultra low drag concept that worked well in 2014 to a whole new level by having no aero at all. best balance on the grid with all the free weight to move about.
This image pretty much sums up the state of Williams atm.
not being funny but if this is in the garage with an engine in it they should do something
for what reason, it's the 2018 contender. apart from that, i doubt that it's actually allowed to run that car.

Not sure about legality but since teams run with aero rigs on the car I don't see why they couldn't run with a old car it's not like it's racing on track. Running it would at least give them some data how useful it would be is mute as not running gets no useful data at all. Not only that but running the old car would have avoided aload of bad press. New front and rear wing and which the demo car already has if fake or no where near final would at least look mostly the part.
Edit - also two new drivers kubica with his bad hand and Russell being a rookie track time in something near current F1 has to be better than the simulator or gp2/f2
wasn't there a rule that they must use cars homologized for that year? i may be mistaken, but iirc there was something along those lines.
which would prevent any possibility of running a 2018 spec car during testing.
additionally, running equals cost. which means money, which they don't have.
and for all the fantasy thoughts on having a killer car, LOL. there is no way they will have one that is remotely close to that since they're lacking all means for such feat.
additionally, if that was the case, they wouldn't have started low-blow blame game runs on paddy lowe, but invented some other means for why the car isn't there yet.
like the total lie they have been imposing the week before testing.
the picture above indeed summarizes williams in one picture.
it also reveals the cold hard truth.
they knew in anticipation this would happen - after all, they sent the botched up 2018 car for reveals and pictures on the track - they SHIPPED that car just for that reason all the way to barcelona. for a filming / picture day with an old vehicle.
it's as senseless as it gets.

sad to see williams in such a mess. i am more concerned with the overall future of the team. will they be on the grid on 2020?
seem to have so many issues. funding has to be concern? car is very poor and if early reports are true this years car is not going to be much of an improvement on last year
