well Jambier maybe for tires but not if they want to do aero work, which Mercedes still have plenty of scheduled no doubt. By the way Bottas has 16 laps to his name already, what's the panic about?

Sigh.. why is McLaren even running with DRS? That's not really testing, it's showing off.

Sorry! I've seen silver pieces on track and thought it was Mercedes.

I know tyres are different, but I wonder how much quicker is the track

2018 Qualy for McLaren at Barcelona: 1.17.7 for ALO and 1.18.3 for VAN
Now they do a 1.17.1 on C4 tyres, with engine not yet in qualy mode.

So 1.16.5 or less on C5 with qualy engine? That's 1.5 faster than 2019

RIC seems to be on a race sim.
Finishing races is important, but racing is more important.

121 laps for Rusell is indeed a great relief for Williams. Hopefully Kubica can also have a productive day today. =D>
if every day this week is this good they will be quite happy overall even if car still seems slow
I hope they can bring a good update to Australia if they can do all the tests they need.

You sure it wasn't in quali mode? Given that he only did Out - Fast - In I assume it was. His 1:17.1 would translate to 1:16.5 on C5 or even quicker since the track temp is still quite cold.

Track may be a little faster indeed. Could also be the mcl34 is much improved. Especially in high speed aero section it works very well. Unconvinced about mechanical grip as sector 3 isn’t as quick as I’d like

Qualy mode for engine: Not yet.
Renault still struggle with MGU K management and engine is only "completed" for this week
