The media is not biased they went along with Mclaren peddling the whole best chassis mantra in 2017 ,when it turned out to be a fallacy they were exposed and discredited they probably resent mclaren for it

McLaren never said they had the best chassis. Enough of the bullshit. There is a live interview of Jonathan Noble explicitly denying Ted's question whether they have the best chassis . US GP 2017. I will let you find it.

With all due respect the media are a bunch of idiots that keep ignoring the established fact that the MCL33 had a flaw in design and the previous car didn't just to sell their bullshit propaganda. 2017 did have one of the best chassis and has nothing to do with the MCL 33 which was a different car. Jesus can they get it through their thick skulls already.

What does auto sport and these so called pundits have to say now. Since Albon has gone fastest. Complete BIAS against McLaren.
Autosport do seem to be incredibly biased against McLaren. It has been boring watching their testing coverage instantly write off anything and everything to do with McLaren. Most of it not backed up by any substantial fact/evidence either.

Their newest video just released......"Don't take McLaren's pace too seriously".

What a shock take on recent pace from them. I hope they are SO wrong over 2019!

Has anybody come across any statement by Carlos or Lando on their long run pace? I don't think it looks too good, except they're driving to a delta.
Q: (Stefano Mancini – La Stampa) Kimi, will you help Vettel to win his championship this year?
Kimi Raikkonen: I can only drive one car, obviously.

Their pace looks similar to Renault, at least in race pace. Check out stints from yesterday.

All I can say is that all these years from 2015 till 2018 all these people and media who are doing nothing but trash talk will eat their words pretty soon.

We might not be able to hit the top 3 at the moment but we are closer than last year and we might be the 4th best at the moment.

As cheerful and positive as yesterday?
Finally, everyone knows that Red Bull is a joke and Max Verstappen is overrated.

Yes. I'm quite content that McLaren is continuing with their programme without changing too much. Both Sainz yesterday and Norris today did qualy sims, after doing three runs (Q1, Q2 and Q3) they proceed to go with a race simulation. I'd say that Sainz is probably slightly faster than Norris is right now, which is to be excepted as he is a young rookie just getting used to F1 cars.

Norris still set a 1:17:800 on C3 tires which is a pretty decent laptime. About Toro Rosso laptime, it's impressive I must say. Not sure what to think of it. Probably that Red Bull still has pace to show. Hopefully McLaren can jump over Toro Rosso and keep fighting toward the upper midfield.

I'm excited by the fact that we aren't slow, but in all reality we do not know where we are in the pecking order and could well be 7th still. Unfortunately, despite the small acts of titillation by Carlos and Lando, there is no factual basis for us to say we are relatively faster or slower, tis why I love and hate testing.

I don't get these "We are really going to show them this year!" style comments. Why take it so serious, or personally.
