He did a couples of laps in mid 1m22
So the picture is Merc 0.5s faster?
Merc and Ferrari can definitely go 1.15 so it is more like 1s behind.
Vettel did 1m16.929 in C4 we realy dont know the fuel and engine mode so i think mclaren recover some gab to last year maybe now they are under a second from the front
Man Red bull are ahead without doubt we need the 4 spot than we see the gap to the top 3Darth-Piekus wrote: ↑01 Mar 2019, 12:52I can safely say now that we have closed the gap by half from Mercedes and Ferrari than last year. The question is if we are in front of Red Bull or behind it for the 3rd position and how much and if also we are in front of the midfield or very close to it.
Yea, Merc and Ferrari don't matter, the fight for 3rd is on, RB and Honda won't make it in the first try for sure! Now Haas RP and TR and Williams are behind us, the question is Ferrari B (Alfa Romeo) RB and Renault. I hope we can fight there for 3rd.Darth-Piekus wrote: ↑01 Mar 2019, 12:52I can safely say now that we have closed the gap by half from Mercedes and Ferrari than last year. You guys need to remember, Alonso also did some great times last season in testing... we are definitly not on RB level and are more than 7-8th behind lead team. Only way to be in front of RB now is to hope that Honda screwed up. If McLaren finishes 4th, I will pop a champagne.fouad1979 wrote: ↑01 Mar 2019, 12:55Man Red bull are ahead without doubt we need the 4 spot than we see the gap to the top 3Darth-Piekus wrote: ↑01 Mar 2019, 12:52I can safely say now that we have closed the gap by half from Mercedes and Ferrari than last year. Definitely, definitely behind Red Bull... We could be anything between 5th-7th, in my opinion, but nothing is conclusive.. But the top 3 are in another league at the moment.Darth-Piekus wrote: ↑01 Mar 2019, 12:52I can safely say now that we have closed the gap by half from Mercedes and Ferrari than last year.
