pace looks very good ...the soft fast laps effectend by yellow flag for both drivers ...0.6 on M from top its ok ...the race sim very good .....gasly -renault-haas and mclaren on same group ...,..everything very open even 15-16 place even podium ...the target must be to get closer to top every single race ...good step after oz ...

Seems that the performance of FP1 was repeated in FP2. This year's car has finally a good base to be built on. Let's see what James Key the new Andrian Newey can do.

How did the long runs look?
Q: (Stefano Mancini – La Stampa) Kimi, will you help Vettel to win his championship this year?
Kimi Raikkonen: I can only drive one car, obviously.

He said it sounded like the engine was misfiring.

FP2 should be a bit more representative... Pretty encouraging times from the team... Surprised that we are so close with Haas... Renault ahead of RBR? According to Horner they missed “the window” to set a good lap time... But regardless, a pretty good result from Renault.

Hope no concerns are in place with Lando’s engine.

A long wait for Qualifying tomorrow :(

I'm pretty sure we could go faster but still the situation shows that we have the base to get to Q3. Now anyone knows when is the big upgrade coming cause I don't think they brought any for Australia or Bahrain.

There's been quite a significant update on the bargeboards,

Still I'm not sure it's a super big upgrade. That might come in Barcelona and it's probably gonna have the signature of James Key. I hope that is. What do you think?

I doubt we'll see anything that has been influenced from Key this season. His job will be early development of next years car in the long term, learning about and adapting the team in the short.

It may not be a huge upgrade, but it's a significant change. Any serious upgrades won't appear before the Spanish GP.

Way too early for anything Key related, it will be months and most likely next year before we'd see his influence on track. They've brought a sizeable upgrade but yeah Spain should be the next big one but I think they'll just bring parts as and when they can.

Positive day again which is nice.
