Rumour has it that the financial issues have been settled, and the 9 million raised. Silverstone survives.
Kim Cockburn ( ), the leader of a bunch of investors, told BBC radio today (thursday) that they have reached an agreement with Bernie to sign a seven year contract for silverstone. This would keep Silverstone in F1 for a long time.
The bunch of investors have raised the demanded 9 million pounds. BRDC has confirmed that Brand Synergy has offered to work as the promoter for the race in the future. Cockburn is the leader of Brand Synergy.
Bernie has allegedly told BBC he is confident Brand Synergy can pull it off and Silverstone will remain in F1.

Bernie's problem with Silverstone is not with the actual track, but with the facilities for the teams and the sponsers. No mention of the £100+ per head spectotor.

What will Joe Public gain from a new pit facility? Nothing.

Bernie, please remember its a spectator sport for the PUBLIC, not for the sponsors.

And, why do you take 77% of the cash. Is not £2 billion enough?

Is this the last day of the British GPs dream? Is it a rumor, is Bernie bluffing or is it true? Has the British GP been scraped from the calendar?

Well, I have no opinions towards this. Maybe it's time the old timers bow out and get new races in. That should spice things up. Or maybe with no schedule next season, the BRDC should renovate the track.
