Race pace was better than the Ferrari. A shame that Perez blocked VES during first laps, and then the VSC... The chassis needs fixes to make the tires work, it was visible after the VSC, he lost a lot of time, and then he gave up chasing vettel.

His pace on the mediums were good up until the safety car. That will probably be more down to the track than the chassis...

Great race pace from Max and Gasly. Max second stint before VSC he was consistently faster than those in front. His sector speed traps were also faster without the benefit of any tow. Of course we don't know how much Mercs and Ferrari were controlling the pace but it looked better for them compared to Bahrain which is said to be similar.
