So a new floor, new brakes , new engine and what else for Spain as the large upgrade package?
I think we already received the brakes upgrade.

Expect something to solve front-end downforce issues. It'd probably be something intangible like better tyre management parameters.

Those are the rear ones... Development shots come for the front ones

I’m also hoping the manage more DF in the front

Is the engine confirmed? I haven’t found any actual quotes that they will be getting a new engine for Barcelona... New floor, potentially new rear wing and minor tweaks for the brakes... In testing the car struggled with rear instability, if that’s addressed, it will be interesting how much more performance they can extract from the car

It's an updated engine to fix the reliability problems and it will allow them to run the engine in higher modes. Confirmed by Abiteboul on television.

That’s great since Barcelona will be mostly about Qualy, not a lot of opportunities to make up places during the race... Hoping that the team can bag another Q3.

The result in Baku is even more impressive if the Renault was running a bit detuned (thought that was only the case during practice)

It will be also good to see if we can close the gap to Red Bull more.

Ok that's enough of the Old McLaren vs. Honda Story. Just let it go. Both Parties split on good terms, both are on an upwards trajectory. Everyone is happy, some People on here should take that as an example. ;)

It very had some people to let go because F1 by its nature is contentious and emotional changed rivalries is what makes people wanna watch

If that's the case with you, I suggest you request a special thread for that from the mods.
Q: (Stefano Mancini – La Stampa) Kimi, will you help Vettel to win his championship this year?
Kimi Raikkonen: I can only drive one car, obviously.

I think Sainz must be not very happy with the team´s strategy. At least he scored his first points.

I'm wondering how Ricciardo currently feels. Last year he said Renault was the logical decision, because of the state McLaren was in. I'm really surprised how bad Renault is doing, expected them to clear the midfield this year.

It's looking like Fernando Mark II, logical choice, but unexpected results. I also didn't see much wrong with his choice, Renault seemed a smarter bet than McLaren at that point in time. I even felt there were a dark horse and could disturb the front 3. It was rumoured McLaren offered him a $20M pay day, a little less than Fernando was on. As Cyril said of Red Bull going to Honda, I hope we make him regret his decision. It's still early days, so hopefully we'll keep the 4th position.

I wonder what rejuvenated McLaren could do with the PU that’s in the back of the Williams...

Not much in between the PUs in terms of power. Main deficit is still chassis. If Renault had the reliability that's expected of them in Spain or the HP from the 1st three races they could've easily overtaken Perez.

Admit that every decision made since 2012 has been wrong?
