Ferrari are introducing their new spec engine 2 races early.

It's to be hope the desperation does not cause reliability issues and set them back even further.
Maybe the new specification solved the problem with reliability.
But in Barcelona even a much more powerful engine will not make you catch up with Mercedes.
I'm pretty perplexed with this decision especially because of how hard it is to pass on this track. Unless they're confident in a front row lockout I don't see how a more powerful/reliably powerful engine would give them more passing opportunities if they don't qualify very well. Last sector of Barcelona takes away so much of the flow of the circuit in my opinion.

It's because new PU has better thermal efficiency and lower consumption, something that was a big problem with Spec1 PU.

Has someone news and/or info about new hydraulic front suspension?
I think that it could help a lot.

Fingers crossed.

New in which way? The hydraulic suspension they started the season with or is there anything new I’ve missed?

They are not going to introduce new engine to give them more passing opportunities on this track. They do it because they want to outqualify mercedes. Also if this pu is stronger it can give them more opportunities with pit stop strategies.

I guess they need to gamble a bit if they're to come out ahead of Mercedes at any point. Rather this than the Williams shamble back during the Austrian GP in 2014 when they locked out the front-row but decided to play it safe and avoid going for the win.

P.S. I did mention how it is in essence an attempt to improve their chances in Q3. If they don't manage then well :( #-o For now its [-o<

I meant if Ferrari is thinking or not to introduce the hydraulic front suspension in 2019.
Mercedes and Red Bull already have it.

Aside from the cut out on the sharkfin the whole cover looks different. Maybe they changed the placement of the Winnow logo.
