In the article retweeted by McLaren's senior aero guy, Ivan Roldan, it stated that the Barcelona issues had been removed during testing, and that the issues were related to their understanding of the car.mclaren111 wrote: ↑20 May 2019, 15:24They also said they were working on this issue in the test last week...

They've always come up with incredibly innovative suspension designs in recent years and I'm curious to see if they plan on focusing a fair bit of resource into recovering some performance gap to Merc in mechanical grip (that the entire field bar perhaps Redbull has).godlameroso wrote: ↑20 May 2019, 19:10McLaren wrote off last year so they could get back on the right track. This car still has plenty of untapped potential.
You think their suspension works well at high speeds but is compromised at low speeds? And that the way forward is getting the suspension to have a wider window? Or that aero performance still has a way to go?M840TR wrote: ↑20 May 2019, 20:08They've always come up with incredibly innovative suspension designs in recent years and I'm curious to see if they plan on focusing a fair bit of resource into recovering some performance gap to Merc in mechanical grip (that the entire field bar perhaps Redbull has).godlameroso wrote: ↑20 May 2019, 19:10McLaren wrote off last year so they could get back on the right track. We'll know how good the suspension is in Monoco. Barcelona is an extreme track that tests the car's limits but they messed up the setup and we don't how much quicker they could've gone with the right one. Carlos did say low-speed performance was better in prior races and let's say they might've recovered about 0.3 sec - ceteris paribus - that's still 0.7 sec behind Merc, however 0.2 sec behind Redbull. Merc is just in a league of its own, but we digress.godlameroso wrote: ↑20 May 2019, 20:41You think their suspension works well at high speeds but is compromised at low speeds? Jesus Christ, what a roller coaster that was. And to think that they could have overcome everything if they got the ratios rightMacklaren wrote: ↑20 May 2019, 22:18https://apnews.com/a8653967a9714ac7a9a3ba576f712fff
Fantastic story. Incredible comedy of errors but I like Zak's attitude

I am speachless.... This is how Ferrari was run trough the eighties not the mighty McLaren with eye for detail. You could laugh about it, but this is pathetic. McLaren is no more. amateurs.Macklaren wrote: ↑20 May 2019, 22:18https://apnews.com/a8653967a9714ac7a9a3ba576f712fff
