I just love this team.
Both Merc stops were slow, Hamilton had a 2.9s and Bottas a 3.0s while Verstappen's was only 2.4s. Had Mercedes been another tenth or two faster he would have made it out no problem.

So not a fiasco, just everybody taking there chances. Some get through with it and some get a penalty.
We just have to take the judges on their 'variable' judging each race.
Verstappen took a 5 second hit, his bad luck
Last year Sirotkin took a 5 second penalty for delaying, Bottas escaped his penalty, his good luck
In the end the winner was Vettel, moving into 2nd.

The reason why Valtteri didn't get a penalty was that the sc was nowhere near to them.
