Really? That’s a pretty silly question

It'll have to be a move as the leaders come through.
Some more light rain coming that might help the guys on newer tyres too.

Norris with fresh soft tyres fell 2 secs behind Ricciardo. I had some hope. He is the only one with soft tyres.. he might had a chance for fastest lap if he was 10nth

Yes, like he’ll win in Indy later to... Oh wait...
Q: (Stefano Mancini – La Stampa) Kimi, will you help Vettel to win his championship this year?
Kimi Raikkonen: I can only drive one car, obviously.

Can't get past, just damaging the tyres and not enough fuel for more than a few attack laps where he was sat right behind Ric - the leaders have backed right off so they're not coming through any more so that spoilt that chance.

Did Mclaren screwed him up in Indy?

Yeah, but super Alonso should at least qualify with a bad car, even if he can’t win.... Also, not crashing would help too... Look, I’m a Fernando fan, he’s actually my favourite of all time. But you keep coming on here saying what he would do with this or that. He’s left the team, get behind the new drivers and stop comparing them to him.... That said, I know you’re trolling, so no worries..

Amazing strategy from the team. Shame about Lando... Hoped he would attack more right after the stop but maybe the team was worried about tires

Hands up if you thought we’d leave Monte Carlo with 8 points

McLaren will increase their lead for 4th by 8 points over RP + Hass, who will be tied, to 21 points. An eternity of points in the midfield.

Starting with Mediums and going very long in the first stint might open some opportunities to score... A VSC or Safety Car could play in the advantage of drivers that delay their stops (allowing for a potential restart in Softs)... Who knows, it could even help Carlos if he ends up holding cars that may pit earlier... Knowing that it ends up being a procession for the most part, a risky strategy could create a chance to win some unexpected points

Does the team read this topic? :)

The strategy worked and the team got away with great points in a track that doesn’t favor the current car philosophy... The exciting thing is that we now have some tracks that on paper should be more suitable for the car (unbelievable to be saying that power tracks such as Canada are now something we are looking forward to)... The other consideration is that our season was done at this point last year, so we hopefully are looking at what should be a better season!

Solid race today for the team, shame Lando did not end up in points but his slow start is to blame, otherwise solid race from him as well. Carlos managed P6 with good tire menagement and great pitstop by the team to ''steal'' the position by doing the fastest lap as well after pitting so overall I'm pleased with the result and we are now settling for P4 in the constructors. If Renault delivers the updates for Canada I think we can fight for P4 till the end of the season.
