Personally, I think McLaren's biggest edge on the midfield are their points. Waiting to see if a top six is possible Here in Montreal.
I doubt the weather will be very warm, it's been under average all spring. Expect 17-22. With regards to rain, it way to early to tell.

Well, this should have been one of McLaren's worst tracks of the year, so it wasn't that bad. McLaren seems to be the most stable team in the midfield so far. It's going to be tight for P4, but they certainly have a good chance.

The team has now had the new update for a couple of races, so they should be more familiar with it and the concept seems geared towards low/drag high speed tracks... It will definitely be interesting how they fair in Canada... If they do well, France and Austria should be good scoring opportunities for them too.

You guys keep forgetting that F1 is not just brute force, it is also a strategic sport and much more, you must have all of the pieces of the puzzle to win, look at Mercedes and Williams same engine but opposite places on the board. Until we are at 4th place (gap to RP 13pts, STR/HAAS 14pts, Renault 16pts and Alfa 17pts), we are the best mid field team.

Mclaren need more HP to cover what its lagging in other places, unfortunatly power is only coming for real in Mercedes and Ferrari engines, even Honda are doing a better job now...

Renault have claimed that since the Spain upgrade, they can tell from GPS analysis that they have the same power as Ferrari and Mercedes in race spec. ONLY behind Ferrari in quali spec.
