Anyone going to the GP this weekend? This will be my first and was wondering how I could get maybe live feed (like they use with the F1 Vision devices, but no longer available at Canada GP) and commentary?
The F1 live app although you're going to get hit with data usage. Where are you sitting? It's not the greatest circuit for general admission. I swear they go out of their way to limit good viewing areas sticking trees and barriers where possible in order to encourage grand stand seating. That being said, there are some really good grandstands.
That was my experience as well.

At least we have a big screen in front of us too. Would have liked main grandstand tickets, but they were out bought a bit late), but I'd take any tickets for this one. Its my first GP in the flesh so very excited.

The grandstand on the outside/exit of T2. It faces the start/finish straight, so you can see the race start as well as a decent amount of close racing along there, as well as good view of pit exit (close action from over/undercuts) and also a decent view up to the first chicane.

Another bonus is pretty quick access to the track after the race to rush the podium.

Interesting write-up from the senior tech writer at formula1.com re: the potential Canadian GP pecking order:

"According to our data, which maps out a predicted pecking order based on what we’ve learned in previous races and track characteristics and conditions of upcoming races, Ferrari should halve the deficit they have had to Mercedes in the last couple of races in Canada. Mercedes are still ahead on that metric, but if Ferrari have a great day/weekend and Mercedes have an off day/weekend, we could see Vettel and/or Leclerc challenging for the front row and potentially the victory on Sunday."

Yep, this guy is freaking liar.
"In the past six races, we were very strong in the corners but lost time on the straights. This will make Canada a huge challenge for us, as the track characteristics could favour our opponents – there are many long straights, and fewer corners in which to make up lap time. But we're looking forward to the challenge.”

I don't see a single lie present in this quote. Mercedes has been strong in the corners, has lost time in the straights to Ferrari (2 tenths on the straight in Barcelona, most recently), and Canada is a track with long straights and very few "slow" corners (5).

Temperatures?
Relatively brisk for the time of year, low 80's ~26C. Depending on cloud cover track temp should be in the mid to high 40's. 2 stopper seems likely, unless they do soft hard. Lots of sunshine, makes it tricky to nail your braking points as the shadows from the trees play tricks with your depth perception.

No Hamilton wasn’t happy. If it was never a problem why that reaction and these words?

Hamilton ‘That’s for making me drive for 67 laps on ******* Medium Tyres’

Bono ‘You said the tyres wouldn’t last 67 laps!’
Hamilton ‘THEY didn’t I did!!!’

Hamilton was obviously narked about it.
That's not narked, necessarily, and they're your exclamation marks. I don't know why I can't find any video of it tho? Have you seen one? And it's still a different issue from using the radio tactically on Max

Edit oh it's a Mercedes video, on Twitter, lol that's how narked he was! Cameras and hugs all round, matiest thing ever
If you're going to have this discussion, at least have it in the Monaco thread.
Yes my bad, and I totally get why you're on at the guys over it 😜

Well, based upon the Merc's straight line speed disadvantage (as witnessed in Baku...NOT) and Big Red's new and improved PU advantage (as witnessed in Spain...NOT)...I would think smart money is on Merc.

...and that is not even taking into account that this is Ham's track and they are expecting a PU upgrade (with Bino stating no new upgrades for this race).
