McLaren has unveiled its 2019 Formula One race car, named MCL34. As with the 2018 car, the covers were taken off at the McLaren Technology Centre in Woking, UK.
A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.
Fabrega said Sainz will start tomorrow with aero rakes
Q: (Stefano Mancini – La Stampa) Kimi, will you help Vettel to win his championship this year?
Kimi Raikkonen: I can only drive one car, obviously.

Yes, interesting for what elements?
I thought it was interesting as well, though he didn’t expand on that. I wonder if there are a few more new bits we’re not yet aware of.

It looks like they're back-to-back testing something on the front wing as they've swapped nosecones/wings a couple of times through the session. I can't see what it is on the video though, have to wait for photos.

The other one had flo-viz underneath on the strakes.
"Carlos is back in the garage, run completed. He's giving feedback to race engineer Tom Stallard on the two front wings he used in that run."
further
"Carlos comes in and swaps noses. It's a front wing test rather than a problem with the original one. "
and
"It's a very busy morning in Montreal. There's a lot of new parts to test this morning, plus Friday in Canada traditionally is a difficult one for fine-tuning the set-up because it's very different to the last couple of races. Also, it's a circuit where drivers find the speed through iteration – so perhaps more laps than might be the case elsewhere.
