Doubt the Mercs will have a shot tomorrow. Ferrari has the speed and strategical advantage with Bottas having a shocker.

This looks liked a nailed on 1-3, potentially 1-2 for Ferrari.

Toto said Lewis messed up the hairpin?
Oh was that why Hamilton said sorry, missed that (my wife called just before Q3 end - she didn't know MAG delayed it ;)
The coverage is so unbelievably terrible. In the closing seconds of the most important session of the day all you have is the start straight and you don't who's up to what, if anyone made a mistake or anything you don't get to see it. Even after the event you miss some very important highlights for a long with interviews and analyses etc. conquers screen time.

Also THAT is why Bottas isn’t on Hamilton and Vettel’s level.
Easy mistake tho. Hamilton putting it into the wall was far worse, but just at a better time.
He locked up 3 times in his second qualy lap as well.

That’s the point. Messed up in his first run and then fell apart in his second.

Hamilton hit the wall yesterday and just brushed it off today.

Yes and he was quite definite about it. It can't have been much, as Lewis was still quicker than his first run, but Seb's lap must've been 101% perfect

and as others have said these two were supreme when the pressure reached the insane peak and this'll be part of the respect they have, which was great to see

Mercedes has the edge on long runs and by a fair bit too.

Nah, the data from Friday was way skewed. I don't think there's anything in between them, but I favor Ferrari since they have the strategy advantage, especially if Leclerc jumps Hamilton.

That is called picking your moments, he can afford to push harder in fp1 and 2, not in fp3 or qualy
Schumacher used to murder his car in Friday and find the limits and stay within them on Saturdays

Bottas is 6th not 10th and is highly likely to just eat Ricciardo and Gasly in the Renault and RedBull!

If the top 3 crash into turn 1 tho, Bottas will be the genius… lol

Easy win for Vettel after an excellent pole position. Can't be overtaken on the straight and they'll pull Leclerc in to force Hamilton to pit too early. Poor quali from Leclerc too.

No idea what Bottas thought he was doing. Not being in the top 3, fine. Not being top 4...okay. Not being top 5? Seriously?

Bad luck for Verstappen, will be fun to see him carving through the field. I wonder if he'll pass Gasly?

Friday race simulations might bw inflated due to Mercs testing the limits of the engine but they still had big race pace advantage in almost all the racea this season, maybe except Bahrain. With their fuel efficiency and tyre expertise Lewis still has a good chance of making it.
