Red Bull RB15

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

So, no major upgrade as expected? And no visible countermeasures for"dancing rear end"?

Was that second, lower boomerang already on the car? Also I haven't seen the bump behind de s-duct before.

New wheel + nut + axle and blowing configuration is major IMO

Some more shots from today. I'm a bit surprised that there are no more visible updates on the chassis, apart from the mirrors and new rims. I somehow hoped to see e.g. some tighter bodywork.

Oh I've just spotted something new: we have a new position of the waste gate pipes. They are now on top of the exhaust.(very clear in the first and second photo in my post before). In the past they've been below the wishbone.

Crazy. I wonder if it is related to power unit developments.

In terms of pickup points I can't see any changes.

Just for reference: Top ( floor from the beginning of May in Barcelona). Bottom ( floor from France)

Updates since May:
# 3 instead of 2 flaps on top of the diffusor
# winglets on the floor that were added in Monacco
The leading edge of the floor in front of the sidepods has a different shape to it as well.

They are clearly trying to claw back the blown axle ban. Difference to old layout is huge. Much more air going trough now.

Those vent holes/fins look angled and handed per side. This gets somewhat around the shaped wheel spokes ban. just_a_fan just the other day brought up fan/impeller blades on the wheels. Here we are. These might act more like rotating turning vanes, less like a wing or blade, since they turn slower than inlet air.

Good spot! They have also altered the RW-endplate a bit.
