In all honesty, at this point in the season the team was aware of the car issues and development was slowed down dramatically... We “should” see an improvement on every single track moving forward... Not only because the MCL34 is a better car compared to the MCL33, it is been continuously developed.
Very happy for McLaren, this was pure genuine pace, they were over 2 seconds off the pace last year, and have closed that gap to within a second. If they keep this trajectory and keep chipping away they'll be back to being the McLaren we remember in the 90's and 2000's.
