Dubai F1 Team

Post

Well seems that the 2006 Championship is going to be a very interesting one...with 2 new teams.....Midland and Dubai!

Seems to me that for the begining Dubai F1 is in better shape having already (almost 100% garatied) garantied Mclaren chassis and Mercedes engines....seems to me we have a new Sauber in F1.

Interesting. I hope McLaren can benefit more from this. The only thing missing is whether that which tyre they'll use. Most probably Michelin.
I hope someone buys Jaguar, 9 teams in 05 and 11 teams in 06 might not sound too good.

If someone buys JAg.....12 teams in 2006! hehe...cool! In my opinion the FIA should open spots for upto 28 cars on the grip! Or open the posibility of 28 cars qualifying and the 4 slowest cars won't race! Not a kind of pre-qualifying like in the old days....but a kind of 107% rule...where everyone has the chance of qualifying but the slowest ones.....won't race! If the costs of F1 really go down....it could be possible to have 14 teams interested in F1....or even more.

well I think teams are interested in F1 from 2006 on because the end of the concorde agreement is then in view and they can join negotiations for a new modern F1.
Another factor may be the possible departure of M. Schumacher in 2006. I think many are under the illusion that they will have a greater chance of winning after that. I think however all they need is a better car, whether that is with or without Schumi.

now going to bed.. 2h18 AM
(pretty good post for a tired mind isn't it? :P )

I dont think that more teams would be a very good idea. The current teams just need to getg more compettive. Witth 28 drivers there will be much more llapping a driver dan duelling with a driver for a top possition. It will make racing just lsower i guess

But more of the so called "moving chicanes" makes the front runners life more dificult! I also thought of the idea because....well in 2 or 3 years you'll find out why! :D
