The way too early weather forecast is as follows: going to be 97 F on Friday, 84 F on Saturday for qualifying, and 97 F again on Sunday.

Saturday will be a reprieve from the scorching heat. And Hockenheim is only about 335 feet above sea level, whereas the Red Bull Ring is 2,170 feet above sea level.

Merc just had a brand new, redesigned, lightweight chassis pass crash tests. Don't know if this part of the Hockenheim upgrade. May not be ready in time. Just wow.

Mercedes are in luck. The heat of 37 and 38 degrees is coming over the next days, just too soon. In the weekend it is back to normal summer values, in which they did fine at Paul Ricard.
