Personally I would be in favor for another Mclaren Honda partnership in the future but people should not be so butthurt it didn't work out the first time. While Alonso used some harsh words back in 2015 it was however true no matter how we may try to twist it and of course the 2017 chassis was indeed one of the best as people need to understand that the car next year was completely different since they made a completely new car down to the last gear. Some people don't seem or don't want to understand that and are bashing Mclaren in every way they can but in my opinion they are making a fool of themselves.. Even Honda are making a fool out of themselves when responding to an Alonso comment from 2015 or seeing Red Bull bashing Renault at every opportunity. Imagine if Mclaren Renault continues to grow and in 2 years becomes with the new rules the dominant force (since Renault has a history of powerful engines much more than Honda) should I also bash every other manufacturer for what Mclaren has heard all these years?

man there is nothing wrong just we are now looking to the front and not behind and we just noticed a big gap to the pole in this track we're hoping for more and more risk in the design if the next car to close by half the gap
The gap has been there all year and this track should have been even worse. Enjoy the great step and stay calm for some years, because wins or even podiums are miles away.
for the podium just go back to last week a toro rosso was in it and for the futur maybe we can design a good car and be more near the front as a fan i believe we can do that
Actually, STR got a podium because they´re 9th at that point in the race, and taking the risk of going to slicks was ok, while McLaren was 5th, and even when Carlos said he considered himself slicks at that point too, their position was too good to take the risk

Basically STR got a podium because they´re further to the front so they could take more risks, McLaren is surprisingly close to the top teams considering past season gap

I guess the main trait holding back Mclaren today would be their aero efficient philosophy. This track demands downforce and we don't have as much as the front runners due to the nature of our car.

Would be great to see a comparison between ourselves and other teams through our Qualy laps to see where the time was lost.
Yeah...I'm not buying that. They don't have more down force cause don't have more DF not because of their philosophy.
They openly admitted that they only pursued a very efficient philosophy, you dont think.this will be part of the issue here? Or are you suggesting that they didnt know how to get more downforce?
I just think the front runners have alot more "good" DF.

Carlos seems to be on a tire protection pace, but he is backing Lando towards Kimi and that’s risky.

Luckily it seems Kimi just fell from DRS (probably an small mistake)

P5 and P6, trying to get the Softs to last long and not be in jeopardy by the everyone behind them on Mediums.

It’s really impressive how good they are driving to a Delta... Carlos has been really consistent in the 1:23.0 for I don’t how many laps... Pretty impressive... Lando was struggling and that’s why he pitted first... He came out behind Ric and Magnussen and that’s NOT good :(

What was that guy doing? One mistake can always happen, but he took so long to recover.

Should have been there in the first place. Amateur hour. What was he thinking with his gun at the left rear.
Harsh I know but seemed to have switched off for a few seconds
