This forum contains threads to discuss teams themselves. Anything not technical about the cars, including restructuring, performances etc belongs here.

Agreed, one of the best battles out there and they didn’t show it once!
P5 and P9... Great result, but again Lando unlucky and a couple of points dropped. Nice to be disappointed with a 12 points haul and opening the gap to 39 points.
Q: (Stefano Mancini – La Stampa) Kimi, will you help Vettel to win his championship this year?
Kimi Raikkonen: I can only drive one car, obviously.

42 point gap to Renault going into the break. 4th is in the bag! Time to switch to 2020 car and maybe try to take some gambles to sneak in a podium in the remaining taxes
Not bad at all. Gasly and Bottas behind Sainz, Lando again unlucky but overall both cars in top 10 and only Albon scoring a point. They are somewhere in 2013/14 form. The pace of Verstappen and Hamilton is monstrous.
If i would get the money to start my own F1 team, i would revive Arrows

yes i think its the right thing to do swith all the efforts on 2020 car now
It should be 2020 full on now, or at least to a large extent. Zak needs to pepper BAT and Coca Cola, they need to splash the cash .... With a bigger budget, we could make up more ground faster.

Rules are not changing so I think that lot of upgrades can be brought and used next year as well. Seidl said before the race that they will have some upgrades after the summer break, so development for this year is not over. It is very good to see the team being able to consistently bring upgrades that work. Whatever they changed this year in their approach is paying off.
Great result for the team... Fantastic drive by Carlos who’s amazing at driving to the target lap time (he’s consistency is scary!)... Lando got screwed on the Pit Stop and did a good job getting back on the points and finishing P9... I was surprised that he hadn’t enough pace to fight Kimi at the end.
In regards to the rest of the season, Seidl mentioned that there are few upgrades for Spa which might be the last of the “big upgrades” to season end... Switching to the 2020 car has already happened, the question is how many resources are deployed towards it... I don’t agree that P4 is “in the bag”, the team does have a comfortable lead going into the summer break, but a few bad “pointless” races and Renault finishing P7-P8 (which I’m sure they can do) and the fight is back on.
Renault should improve in the second half, they do have more budget/resources than the STR’s, Alfa’s and Haas and that should allow them to outdevelop them in the second half of the season... Mclaren can’t really let their foot of the gas just yet.

More sponsor money doesn’t automatically mean a higher budget. It could also result in less money from the shareholders.

They hardly showed McLaren all weekend
Finally, everyone knows that Red Bull is a joke and Max Verstappen is overrated.
I have been thinking Lando was the better driver, but I am beginning to consider Sainz the better racer. Yes I know he has had the rub of the green, but he has always made sure he was in a position to take advantage of it. These boys are a good team.
Things are looking good

Where do you pull this crap from.
More sponsor money will definitely mean a bigger budget. If anything, the shareholders will increase the budget.

Sponsors can mean that the team has to change suppliers for some components or software. (One assumes they factor this in to the cost though)
