The real question is if he's a half 4/10ths or so down on Kvyat for the rest of the season with no obvious progressing forwards as there was no progression at Red bull, then who will be at TR next year. I don't think the gap killed Gasly as much as the fact that it wasn't getting smaller.

I am not sure the actual difference in performance between an Aston Martin and Civic Type R is all that great. The acres of leather and other luxury materials in the Aston Martin tend to weigh it down a bit; compared to the cheap and cheerful Civic!

I think Kvyat is already negotiating with another team for 2020.
I really don't think he wants to drive another season at STR.
He already started at STR in 2014.

I want to know why nobody is talking about Nick Cassidy as a potential driver in F1. He drove all the way up from 14th on the grid to finish third at the last Super Formula race, making his soft tyres last almost the entire race without losing pace on them compared to other soft tyre runners. He looks like a really good driver (and, in true Red Bull style, they supported him and then dropped him a few years ago).
