Scuderia Toro Rosso STR14

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

Finally a boomerang. Cant beleive it took half a season to get this piece of carbom fibre. Shows the deficiency in the team and factory.
It also took Ferrari a half a season to put a boomberang on.

So what does this piece actually do then? If it's such an easy thing, you should be able to give us chapter and verse about the air flow structures around this area and how this device beneficially affects them...

Yes, the new package was introduced in Germany.

I thought they didnt race it. Regardless even Williams were early adopters to this concept. The team has a habit of falling behind in season which must be addressed with the new RedBull synergy.

what toro rosso needs to do is validate the aero upgrades. just for example. haas went backward with their new aero. they test both australia spec and their latest spec and found a slight negative. so really we never know if these aero upgrades work with comparing it with the original spec.

Do you get tired of talking rubbish and not adding anything useful to a technical Forum?

So far this year STR have brought more developments and are looking stronger than previous seasons

What races are you watching? Last few races the team have dropped back significantly. They were near top of midfield at the beginning.

For onces I agree with mcmika98. TR has a habit of slowing down as the season progress. Last season the same . I know TR for bit lucky in Germany. But overall the team can't keep up the development rate

And Williams shot to the front of the midfield as soon as it was introduced 😂😂😂

What? What are you watching. They've been in the points for 6 our of the last 8 races. If you ignore unforseen issues which caused them to fall back, they are not going as badly as you're suggesting.
You're also taking the time to talk smack because of a boomerang element introduction date which is enough for me to usually skim over your nonsense.

Yes STR have a habit of dropping back second half of the season. Let's just see what happens. Too early to tell.

TR gathered points but only for 9 or 10th place finishes, till Germany they were no where near the top of the midfield contender, and only because Kvyat took 3rd place at Germany they are so high up the ranks

Yes, but this year it seems McLaren is The undisputed 4th team on grid, so 9s&10s is ok
