This forum contains threads to discuss teams themselves. Anything not technical about the cars, including restructuring, performances etc belongs here.
interesting that all Renault powered cars only changed the ICE and not any other parts, as most of the times the updates are somehow "connected".
Apparently both Ricciardo and Hülkenberg will continue with the old specification of the engine tomorrow though - any idea if McLaren plans to do the same with Sainz?
“Spa-Francorchamps is a circuit that requires careful work to optimise rear wing levels and also car set-up, because grip is low and the track is bumpy in places. That was the focus of our efforts today, in addition to the normal work of aerodynamic testing and tyre evaluation.
“It’s difficult to properly evaluate our competitiveness, because both the power effect and the fuel effect are sizeable at Spa. It’s clear we have work to do, however, and overnight we’ll be trying to find the improvements that will allow us to push on into Q3 and score good points in Sunday’s race.”
I knew it. Where did you get ''big'' upgrades from that article? He says they'll bring something in Singapore or Japan. Plus they've been bringing small updates throughout the whole year as opposed to big ones. Don't think that's going to change all of a sudden.
Thanks, important take away from the interview, Carlos says no noticeable difference with the Spec C
Q: (Stefano Mancini – La Stampa) Kimi, will you help Vettel to win his championship this year?
Kimi Raikkonen: I can only drive one car, obviously.
@2018 Singapore Grand Prix drivers press conference.
Lando Norris was just talking on Sky as they showed his and Carlos' fastest lap. It seems like there were half a second of mistakes made by both today, with Lando missing the apex and locking up into the turn 1 hairpin, and Carlos not having full control in the final chicane forcing him to go a bit to wide and having to break more for the final turn before the straight. Those mistakes apparently costed around 4 tenths each plus other corrections and missed apex
Fingers crossed we can pull some decent laps together at the right time today.
Why is the car having so terrible pace in Spa? I refuse to believe that the others gained more than a second in just one race. One race before we were like 3 tenths in front of the others and here we are suddenly 1.5 secs behind? What is going on?
