These Hydraulic issues are plaguing us for years. They got to find out what is causing them. If we want to challenge for the championship at some point we need to be flawless.

On another note Lando is doing good so far. He's beating Grosjean for now but anyone knows how are his times compared to Perez and Gasly that are following?

Are we gonna stay as much as possible inside?

Norris is in very good shape. Still he hasnt pitted. He is 16 secs from Kvyat. Lets hope he doesn't have similar hudralic problems.

edit: He pitted and he passed Giovinazzi and Kvyat, who havent pitted yet and he is still 5th! Very good pace. I guess those who were saying about the cool weather today were right

He pitted and he still is going to pas Kvyat like nothing. It seemed that the car was indeed set up with race specifications and until now the difference is shown compared to yesterday.

He's comfortably 5th, seems like only safety car or car issue can take this away, but fingers crossed.

5th place should be ours as long as nothing happens. The car is way faster than the rest to the point that we did one pit stop and still managed to get 5th. I suppose either they fixed yesterday's problematic set up or they sacrificed yesterday to a full race pace today. The Haas seems to be plagued from race pace problems again. Also imagine if the Ferrari hit each other on their battle and we gain a podium.

Leclerc is gaining Vettel. Imagine if they hit each other in their battle and we gain a podium gift.

There is not much they can do to the car in parc ferme conditions, as they were since the start of Qualy yesterday.
Most likely it is the weather change and race conditions that has helped them.

Aww. Come on. Ferrari treats F1 like a laughing joke with those kind of strategies. Let them fight for the position. Don't give orders.

On another note how can temperature affect the car that much? Yesterday we were losing badly like a second to the fast laps of Raikkonnen and Ricciardo and today we are destroying them all to the point we did one pit stop and still got 5th place.

Because the MCL is keeping pace in it's tyres much longer than the other midfielders can manage.

I would say not only against the other midfielders but generally against every team. It's usually the last team that changes tyres. Still though how can temperature affect the car that much.

The change in pace with change in temperature could show that the MCL34 was overheating the tires during Qualifying with the higher temperatures and has them in a better window now in the race with the cooler temperature... This means that they will have less degradation and therefore can sustain pace for longer.

If the team considered this before qualifying, that would be very impressive.

It was a risk though to predict that the temperatures today would be colder. What if they weren't? Still though very impressive if that is a fact.
