2019 Mclaren F1 Team - Renault

It was forecast to be colder today so not as much as a risk as you'd think. But the question is, without the luck at the start of the race, could we showcase our pace?
As you can see in this race it is not always as easy to pass as you'd think so without that magical gap appearing this would be still a positive race, but nothing like this I suspect.

Being best of the rest means your not running in dirty air for lots of the race and your tyres last quite well, different story if Norris had had to fight his way to fifth.

Absolutely... Nevertheless, the 17 second gap to Perez (which seemed to have way better pace) shows that the car in race trim is behaving really well.

Yet another betrayal from the engine on the last lap. Norris now feels just like Hakkinnen and Raikkonen. Damn.

Could he have slowed down to let through the leaders securing points by being lapped? Did not pay attention to the gaps towards the end

Go back to Mercedes. Suspected engine failure is being reported by McLaren.
