Silver lining is that the race pace of the car was way better than the last few days predicted... 2019 is a season where 4th place is the maximum the team will achieve, so even though the lack of points in this race is gut wrenching and disappointing, the team seems to continue to improve the car and that’s all we can ask from them... Staying in within a decent time window to the leaders was also a nice surprise today.

Hopefully we won’t be missing the 10 points left on the table today at the end of the season.

The pay-out for 10 points will be missed, but the position looks safe.
Gutted for Lando as much as anything. Would have been a good lift for him.
This was not seen as a good track for Mclaren, so maybe not quite so bad overall. Sponsorship coverage and 'glory'

Race pace probably looks better than it would if Norris was running 10th. Clean air helps a lot. Strategy wise I think that was earned. McLaren was increasing the gap to Perez after Perez pitted so I don't think that's something to take away from the team. This just shows that to really be 4th, you need to be strong in qualifying. Any car running in the midfield pack is compromised due to overheating of tires and engine.

I'm hoping that Sainz does not need to take more penalties in Monza.

To be fair, it was much better than expected. I was expecting to have a clean race and end up outside of points, so having a dirty race and run 5th on pace is fine by me, only issue is that the car stopped on the last lap.

Haha. Was thinking that Renault and Cryil were sabotaging the quali by not giving the full quali mode. To make matters worse they made sure Sainz didnt start and killed Landos engine on last lap.
De ja vu again. I am pretty sure now Renault will overtake Mclaren.

I don't get everyone saying clean air pace is an advantage for the others. On this track DRS is a huge advantage. Running in clean air is neutral at best. Lando pulling away from the rest without DRS was very impressive

Sainz seems to had issues with the ERS and on his last lap the car lost all electrics and he just stopped.

Renault will not be able to overtake Mclaren. In fact noone else will be able to overtake Mclaren. Mclaren is by far in a total package the best 4th car. It would be ignorance not to admit it at this point.

Full Onboard of Carlos' race. Sporadic rear-wheel locking throughout, then something in the engine goes bang at the end.

Anti-Stall kicked in, same as with Carlos.
Carlo's today ?

Thought that was Hydrolic?
I heard the commentators say it was anti-stall. The car stalled on grid at first and then wouldn't start during pit-stop. Let's wait a bit for more credible sources.
I heard that it stalled and had to be restarted....like a clutch/power problem.

They told him before he pit that he was gonna powercycle the car. AKA turn it off and on again. Which you usually do when the electrics are ---

Definitely electrical..my bet would be something didn't go back together again when they replaced the mgu-k.
