FOM again neglecting Sainz on track, since he was the only car doing a laptime, instead they showed everthing else....No matter if he was not quick enough, he was the only car pushing.
I thought this was disgusting. Whoever it was that made it to a quick lap should be shown. Instead we watched confused faces and slow cars. Infuriating!

He's quick enough just for the Renaults to tow him around and wait for their tyres to drop off.
He's very quick actually. The Q1 lap without tow was only 5 tenths off Ricciardo's Q3 time. So with better tyre deg and tow he can definitely outrace them tomorrow.

We don't really have a low DF package ...
I personally prefer it this way actually. Better race pace has been the hallmark of successful packages so far this year.
You know I get it, it's a one off race so we need to save $$$ somewhere ... We'll see if that's true ..tires last a long time @ monza ...

Also, will Norris have difficulty passing cars? Starting from the back he's gonna need good top speed to pass cars easily.
DRS and tow is very strong this year so it should be easy on paper. At least against cars much slower.

Anyone else continuously smashing F5 to check for news that 8 of the top 10 have been penalized and so SAI starts P2??

With the luck of Sainz, they will decide that he is responsible for the slowage....
If i would get the money to start my own F1 team, i would revive Arrows

I doudt that....stranger things have happened through.

I think Vettel had a legitimate chance at being on pole. He screwed up S1 by .3 otherwise he would have been on pole. So how do you decide the victims?

What happened at the end? Why did they go so slow and missed the last lap? Why also were we not shown Sainz and only Leclerc?

Hulkenberg in Q3 deliberately taking to the run-off area has to be considered for some pain along with the others who pulled that trick earlier in the session (at least a couple of others, Vettel and I forget the other). Penalties for those two could result in a promotion for Sainz.

I’m not sure what precedents have been set for penalties for that sort of thing though, might just be a series of reprimands dished out this time until they clarify it at FIA level.

Can someone explain to me why sainz was one of the drivers that was going slow (according to accusations I read) and yet the only one to be in time for a new lap?

He was playing the delay game like everyone else but halfway through the lap the engineers told him he would have to push hard to make the flag so took off

That's indeed ironic Chris. In fact Sainz and Leclerc were the only ones that were fast enough to pass the finish line meaning that the rest were going slower. I think all the drivers in front of Sainz apart from Leclerc should be penalized for this whole stunt as F1 was disgraced today.

Sainz was doing a parade with Hulkenberg and after some point he overtook everyone and just left. If you watch Vettel's onboard you can see Vettel waving at Sainz and Hulk to let them go.

Sainz went, Vettel was still waiting. Vettel could overtake Leclerc but he refused because of slipstream. Everyone is at blame here.
