That's actually a mock-up of Liberty-FIA's 2021 car. Tires will be cheaper and slower, a win-win for... Well, for someone. Not sure who. The loosely fitting cloak is their way to finally stifle aero development once and for all. Teams can still spend as much as they want on aero research and production, but ultimately they'll all have to wear TheBag™.

But vaccuming and blowing the bag in relation to the aero will be the new spending ground, providing hitherto unkown ammounts of cash and development until its banned on grounds of moveable aero, and "the bag" gets banned by extension, and replaced with literal "boxes"...

Amazon, eBay, FedEX, UPS, Post AG, The Post Office and MyHermes become defacto fierce F1 rivals overnight having stolen a march on everyone else in the box delivery aero business.

My Hermes win due to their skills throwing boxes in the vague directon of the recipient.

Looks good! I wonder why they feel the need to use slicks for pushing the car around the paddock?

I presume those are off-the-shelf slicks from Pirelli racing tyre catalogue.

Looks like it says 245/645 R18 [width/diameter] on the sidewal. Very svelte and sleek looking: similar to the F1 front tyre outer diameter and width used from mid-eighties until 1997 [namely 10.0"/25.0" R13 for the imperial sized Goodyears].

Unfortunately, actual 2021 front tyres will be the somewhat chunkier 270/720 R18, if I recall correctly?

Still, nevertheless, a huge improvement on the comical wide 305mm front tyres used in 2019 [305/670 R13].

I wouldn't read to much into it. Pirelli probably give them to each team just to keep branding consistent.

I like the look, but it won't matter any damn thing if they cover them up with those wheel farings as they plan to do.

My prediction: after all these "big"changes for 2021, the big teams will still do all the winning, the little and mid-pack teams will do no winning, and it will be difficult to pass.

Oh, and the teams will still be spending as much money as they have to find advantages, wherever the rule book will allow them to.

I've been very closely following this sport since the mid '80s. It's just how F1 works.

They probably run it with the rear wheels off the ground, holding the engine back with the brakes, to build engine, gearbox, brake and tyre temp

Just to add, I think this change is long overdue and it doesn't look extreme to me, I think 19 or 20's would have looked silly, these look OK to me.
