Sorry to bust your bubble Ciro, but ALL teams cheat. Always have and always will. It doesn't matter who does it, it's still wrong and Ferrari may be the best at it. I don't really care who cheats to win in any sport, I'm not losing my money by others cheating and me not winning. I don't condone it, but I myself can't stop it.
Exactly right Ray. Whether it's a club racer with a Formula Ford or an F1 team with a 200M budget.

[quote="guy_smileyso i think this 'winning for losing' is moot.[/quote]

I'd have to disagree here... I'm a little disappointed in the efforts of Hamilton and McLaren in this final race. But congratulations to Hamilton anyway, it was an interesting and good season all-in-all. But, hats off to a very good driver anyway.

It's just that Hamilton and McLaren seemed to do the bare minimum to place fifth in the Brazilian GP. I think that the 2008 Formula One season review video should be subtitled: "How to win by trying not to lose". But anyway, the race was entertaining and very interesting, I thoroughly enjoyed it. And congrats again to Hamilton.

The Rules of any competitive engagement are meant to define the limits to the competitors, and the Regulations are meant to close loopholes that have been exploited by creative interperetation of the Rules.

Without people pushing the limits of the Rules, the Regulations wouldn't exist.

That may be viewed by many as cheating, but not me. I am a sucker for brilliant work-arounds, and in the last 4 years of F1, there have been too many to mention!

I was on a high earlier after such an exciting season finale, but the reality that we will not see any more F1 until the new cars are unveiled in January has brought that mood down dramatically.

That is where NASCAR ownz F1. There is only like 3 weeks to the off season!
