Most Consistant Racer & Car of 2008 (Stats Warning)

Post

Im just looking at the chart for 2008, and theres only only one driver to have finished all the races, albeit 1 lap down in Brazil and 4 laps down in Monaco, that driver is Nick Heidfeld.

Infact his last retirement was back in the USA last season, so he has had 28 consecutive race finishes, if you take the Fuji 07 race as a finish as he had completed over 90% of the race distance, thus classified, as he has to withdraw 2 laps from the end due to Hydralic problems.

The BMW Sauber has had 41 races without a double retirement situation, the last double retirement was in Germany 2006.

The only 2 teams that can beat that are McLaren (45 concecutive races), last double retirement USA 06 and Ferarri (53 concutive races), whos last double retirement was in Oz in 2006.

Yep, consistantly slow!

Actually I rate Nick pretty well, on par with his teammate to be truthful. Yes he was consistantly slower this year but Kubica has been consistantly slower then him the last year and a half before this year.

I think the problem is that both teammates have a greatly varried driving style and that hold back the development of the team. 1 driver struggles while the other likes the feel of the car. We've seen that the last couple years with them, and it has been again magnified the last 2 races.

Kimi had completed 90% of the race so thus was classified in 7th if memory serves me correct, im going by classification that way. So, you could say its a tecnicallity im going on if you really want to be picky.
