0.3 between 3 top teams is 3 grid positions Rbr is fighting among those. These Alex guy has a lot of work to do he needs to bridge that 0.7 to 1 second gap to Max. if the likes of Mclaren improves then Redbull will have problems

Not even close yet, Mercs running 1-2 with solid reliability. For pure power during the race they might be on par for a couple of laps, but Mercedes is still king over a whole weekend and even better over a whole season.

Engine penalties for Mercedes teams are very very rare, all the way back to the beginning of the hybrid rules.

For Albon β€˜s future perspective this was a very good day, he recovered to 5th (from a not great weekend) and Yes the SC helped massively, but OK. What is maybe more important is Gasly and Ivyat both blinded by wanting this Seat. They are not playing the long game and made it very difficult, in the end for themselves.
i agree. albon had luck with the vsc/sc, but he used the opportunity well.

Generally true. But this season has been a little more average. Both Williams and Racing Point have been forced to change units due to on track failures and have exceeded season limits because of that. Strictly facts, Honda have been the most reliable so far. Zero failures, every change has been for an improved unit.

There is only 1 seat and 3 people ...what's the long game? at RBR or another team? It actually showed that Albon might not be as good as people say... He struggled to get passed cars that were significantly slower.

7 PUs for STR.

Pre race, at best P6 was what he could hope. After quali P8 was looking difficult. Result was P5.
Macca fans clearly hurt to see him fly past both cars. He was faster than Max towards the end for good measure. Circumstances helped but he got it done, you win some you lose some.

If you want the Seat, do you them show Some restraint or none at all. Gasly with that overtake attempt with zero percent chance (costing him the place to Kimi). Not smart.

He was on red tires towards the end (the much faster tyre) and Max on his yellows was also faster in quite a few, just to the very end he let it go.

But Yes, Albon did good and today has gone a long way in grabbing that Seat for next season.

Max got 5 unit. Still season not finished but by assuming he finish like that it goes according to plan. When driver and team did good job this is possible as we have seen. If you want to look worse one ...

Personally I disagree. a few more Saturdays like yesterday and he'll be gone. He's good, I think he deserves a shot but he has to avoid what he did yesterday.
