Personally I disagree. a few more Saturdays like yesterday and he'll be gone.
Lol. Desperate for the guy to fail. On the contrary few more Sundays like today and he is nailed for next year. Gasman's overtake on Kvyat was another proof of why he wont be on the seat. As quick as he is, he has no racecraft unlike Albon who can moves on any corners.

Yes, that was not good. And without the SC, who knows how it would have ended today. But I too believe he is good. So Hopefully he will show it the next races.

I dont know if this is offtopic, but if everything aroud Ferrari straight line speed and acceleration is legal Redbull Honda development is pointless even for 2020....Even today we should have seen Ferrari's 1 and 2 if there wasnt Vettels failure...

What are you saying? Honda needs to stop developing because Ferrari is ahead?
You won't catch me driving a race car that I have built.

So what did he do today? On lap 30 Sainz was 3 seconds behind ALB but on fresh tires. In other words Sainz was 20 seconds and 7 cars ahead of ALB before the safety car wiped that out. He would never have finished anywhere close to where he finished if he wasn't aided by the safety car.

yeah RBR were better than Ferrari in silverstone and other races as well but suddenly Ferrari discovered something huge with their spec 3 PU so unless Honda figures out what is Ferrari doing with their PU and in which direction was their breakthrough, 2020 seems already ominous ,not to mention the car need more work from Newey.
para bellum.

Agree with you.
Without SC the race might be ended with +40sec or more ,RBR HONDA were nowhere compared with the others.
It may be justified that they sacrificed Russia for Japan .. But really if they won't compete there after what done, it would be an anouncement of the failure that accompanied this partnership in the first year as we expected more in 2nd half of the season.

No, but all the work that Honda have done and finally Ferrari's are accelerating like rockets...They simply had made a dragster - and this is obvioislly winning cobination...

Guys I didn’t read thru all pages so I’m not sure if this has been discussed already but: isn’t it strange that RB didn’t come with any updates to the car since summer break?

They either were working on something for Japan or they simply have switched their focus towards 2020 already... With not a lot to fight for this season, that seems like the better choice.

If and buts is all you have. After lap 1 Sainz was P4 and Albon last about 15 seconds ahead. Guess you forgot how he overtook both of Mclarens on his way towards P5. Even Max at best would have gotten P5 at best starting from there.

We all forget that is first year of collaboration. And first year that Honda has no mayor problem with pu..... look how many years take Ferrari to cache Mercedes...

In Japan i hope that Honda will allow run pu in higher mode like in Austria..

This is exactly what I’m thinking. And that makes it a bit easier to accept how RBR is performing. On the other end: Max his attitude doesn’t make it seem like they switched to 2020 already

Ferrari was always to be favourite in Spa Monza and Sochi. They found something that made gave them the edge in Singapore Q en executed the race perfectly, although slower than the rest.

I think Marko mentioned the other day they're bringing an aero update to Suzuka.

It needs to bring a chunk of performance for Red Bull to have any chance of winning again this season. Mercedes are also bringing updates there.
