Do all teams keep the drivers trophies like McLaren?

That is is horse crap! Isnt that why they get the constructors trophy?

In NASCAR the driver gets to keep his trophies, what kind of garbage is it to take it away from the driver that earned them?

I am so destroyed by this revelation. I don't know if I can maintain respect in the teams if this is common in F1... I know it may seem petty to feel that way, but what possible honorable reason could the teams have for expropriating the trophies from the drivers after a race?

I would have thought that they might keep the CURRENT drivers awards as they are pertinent to the job, they help with PR and all sorts of things. But I can't see them keeping all the trophies of all their drivers ever.

I think Mclaren makes Replica's to give to the drivers if I remember correctly. I think LH just wants to keep some of the originals, dont blame him. If I was a driver I'd only want my winning trophies, I'd auction all the 2nds & 3rds for charity.

I cannot believe the greedy bastards take them at all! Is this a contractual obligation of the driver? Does it say that you forefit all trophies that you devote your life, and risk it every weekend to obtain?

Maybe they have given the trophies back and have them replicated for display. We just don't know the facts.

Why? This is the case in most motorsports. By the time you reach that level you have so many trophies that its hard to find space for them.

Its only Ron Dennis in all of F1. It is one of the reasons I dislike him so. He must satisfy his vanity by all means even to the detriment of the driver.

I believe that Williams also keeps the trophies. I dont see the issue. You drive for a team. Key word being team.
If a driver gets a replica well great. I would hedge a bet that most successful drivers dont have ALL their trophies gathering dust.
