And another thing, as the altitude nullifies engine differences it’s clear to see we are around 1 Sec down with max df on the car. Quite clear what they mean when they say they want a 0.5s leap closing that gap to around 0.5-0.8s a lap
Don't think it is Just the Altitude. It's a short track, in Quali, not as much lap to use the fully charged battery on. So if your PU has a charging definciancy, it's not as apparent on a short track. During the race, you have to charge and discharge all the time without a outlap.

But saying that: I’m mightily impressed by Sainz. He’s been in the form of his life. Hardly any mistakes and lightning quick
He's been great all season, that's why I laughed at the people slating him on here when he started just because he had some bad luck #-o

Yep... pound for pound, I’d say he’s the driver of the season, when everything is taken into consideration.
Q: (Stefano Mancini – La Stampa) Kimi, will you help Vettel to win his championship this year?
Kimi Raikkonen: I can only drive one car, obviously.

Sainz is the son of Carlos Sainz who dominated WRC. I would really love to see him getting a championship at some point cause I think he does have the speed for it.

On another note shouldn't Verstappen be penalized more than what he got?In my opinion a Black Flag. Nobody in F1 have ever ignored a Flag and then made negative comments about it. While Verstappen is a fast driver he will never become a World Champion with this kind of attitude. Also how come Leclerc didnt get Black Flagged in the last race. I remember Montoya getting Black Flagged in Canada back in 2005 for a lighter situation.

Finally guys fingers crossed for a clear start first of all. If we gain positions it is a welcome gift. If not all we need is to be in front of our rivals to increase the gap and pretty much secure the 4th place.

I don't expect us to hold the Mercedes for much time behind us or the Red Bulls but fantastic start from our two boys. Seems they have worked their starts cause this is the 4th very powerful start in a row.

Was it a good idea to start with the softs? Do we rely on Mclaren's car being too good with the tyres so much that we can hold with the medium tyre teams?

Poor Verstappen. Karma is a bitch it seems.

Something must be done to fix that. Its the second time that happens. If we want to challenge the championship in the next few years we must be flawless on pit stops.

It's so unfair. Norris who has done nothing wrong yet gets punished so much and Verstappen who should be Black Flagged for yesterday's actions escapes again.

what a disaster. not only we destroyed Norris race but Sainz is even behind Kvyat after that delay in his pitstop

For Norris it is, at least without a safety car.

For Norris it is but not for Sainz yet. Terrible pit stops though on both cars. Sainz lost 2 places from hit pit stop.
