should be few days till we know who's gonna take RBR second seat in 2020, if Mrko think they are title contenders for 2020 will an inexperienced Albon fit the plot surely Max will be in need for a strong wingman will Max push for some experienced driver , will we see Gas again in the seat or perhaps they will decide for Kvyat fav however few days ago Marko was still insisting there will be no Hulk.

It appears that some here are having trouble navigating the site. This thread is for RBR team matters, and discussing practice for the US GP, and Hamilton, and Ferrari should all be carried on in the dedicated US GP thread.
Please try to keep on topic and post in the correct threads

But why? Most of the stuff discussed in recent pages concerns red bull directly and race thread is flooded by "will hamilton be crowned champ if this or that... bottas vs hamilton this and that... ", making it unbearable for anyone but merc/hamilton fans. I myself frankly am completely fed up with anything regarding mercedes in general and thus will not engage in those debates, apart from time to time when someone actually takes a time and comments on something usefull or technical (rare in race threads).

Anyway.. Verstappens fp2 lap

@ARAL,

You may have noticed that the race topic is mainly about Ferrari and Mercedes. As soon as you post something about RBR, the Hamilton fans, who are present there in very large numbers, go in full attack. Well, cozy. Then let us just post things here that concern the RBR team and sometimes also about the race. As long as this is done decently, there is nothing wrong with that, right?

Just because you do not like discussing practice and quali on the actual race thread due to mention of hamilton (after all, he IS one of the drivers) that is no reason to pollute a specific RBR team thread with non topic race talk.

The top speed of the car on the backstraight was awesome at FP3. I saw Albon hit 324, more than Vettel (on the TV live graphics) :shock:

"FIA is sending out a new Technical Directive after Red Bull asked for clarification on a possible fuel flow measurement loophole. Looks like this is aimed at the Ferrari power secret.

More info about that in our AMuS story (in German):"

Exciting qualifying, well done to Verstappen. But damn Albon isn't in the mix at all. Got a deja vu from earlier this season when they send out Gasly on the softs when all other top team drivers went out on mediums.

At least he delivers on the race.And it's when points are given. Good to see that we are in the mix again, and missed P1 maybe due that lock at T1. Anyway, starting P3 on the clean side it will give a chance to be 2nd, but please be calm on that T1 [-o< :lol:

Dang. No one improved on second run. Alex was on a good lap and then messed his sector 3, he could have been P4.
Very happy he did Q2 in soft, he can get a good launch and overtake few front cars. One stop to hards and maybe pull a Hamilton in Mexico. The hards are much faster tyres for race.

They start on Mediums same as everyone bar Albon, but I don't think they'll be in the mix for the win.
Verstappen just needs to stay away from trouble, P3 is a nice place to be I think.

verstappen's p2 lap

vs vettel - that turn 1 lockup really haunts him troughout the lap, otherwise a very good run. Speed trough S section is mind boggling. Max carries 17 kmh more apex speed trough T6 compared to vettel. Ferrari still stretches it's legs on the straights, so this new technical dirrective does not seem to be hampering them that much.
