So what is all this talk F1TV is doing about the double bulkhead being some kind of game changers? Not really seeing the big fuzz.
Found it:

All nice and well, but can it change toe angles while driving? No, then not juicy enough

Well guess that puts a lot of folks on the wrong foot. Did you wonder how such a slim nose was possible?

moving the suspension backwards enables to move everything inside the nose also backward.

The combined result is what surpass the weight needed to strengthen the wishbones and the extra bulkhead.

There are a lot little aerodynamic advantages to the design.

But the major result is the ability to create a very tailored nose (that can pass the Crashtest).

That big "dewlap" fin under the bulkhead that the guy in the video saying is new really isn't new is it?

So, like FSAE style, but with a bulkhead for the front pickup point. Structurally makes sense, but I don't the the benefit for an F1 type car especially on F1 type courses. It's mostly done to facilitate strong ackerman in FSAE since the autocross courses are set up so tight, and even the endurance stage is a relatively handling dependant thing. But cars that run more open courses at higher speeds like GT and up can often be setup with negative ackerman, so, other than maybe bringing a tiny bit of weight closer to the driver I'm not sure what's "game changing" about this.

Ever since the first "twin keel" cars we haven't seen them really.

Could anyone explain what the "double bulkhead" is and how does it affect performances? I've understood only that they moved the front suspension backwards to free the space for the tighter nose.

That may literally be the only reason behind it.

Suspension geometry as well.

Is there a top down picture that shows how much the suspension has moved?

Not 100% perfectly matched, but you can see that the change is significant:

It's mostly the steering rack & track rods that have moved back, rather than the whole suspension. As others have mentioned, it looks like it's allowed them to narrow the nose. It does potentially make rebuilding the front end a bit more complex, which might be a problem if one of the drivers bins it before qualifying.

I wonder if this allows them to repackage the front and swap the outer bulkhead without a crash test? i.e. quickly rework the steering system to integrate DAS.
