Red Bull RB16

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

I have now looked at multiple video's of the RB16 today and last week and I notice a constant sliding / lack of stability at the rear. Also the spins of Max in sector 3.

I think they have a issue with lack of rear downforce again.
why not using a bigger rear wing like mercedes and ferrari?
It could also be a way of sandbagging. If the correlation is good with this wing (and they have confidence there are no unexpected things with a larger wing), then they could just be using Horner's ironing board to not give away too much of the true performance. But of course, other teams are fully aware that RB is using a shallower wing.

New side-pod deflectors. Car is super unstable this morning with aero racks mounted.

Is that instability in the car itself, or is it being the first car out on slicks on a damp track?

The rear wing still looks incredible skinny.they should put adequate downforce to learn something about the car because the balance changes

I just noticed what a drastic difference there is between the inboard part of the boomerang and the outboard part.
