Car looks great on tyres on long runs again however.
That’s a great bit of information, thanks for sharing!
It’s great to hear that they are managing the tires well in the long stints.

I’m however less optimistic than yourself.
One of our strengths last year was to qualify well at the front of the midfield and control the pace and let the others chew their tyres up in dirty air.
If we aren’t getting front tyre temps up for quali then we’ll be in the pack for the race come Sunday a bit like Renault 2019
Even though I agree that qualifying up high allows you to manage the pace, at the same time, not managing the tires through the race could be more prejudicial (for example what happened to Haas last season)... Managing the tires “better” than the rest allows for longer stints and also to push on the tires for longer during the race... As a matter of fact, if you can preserve your tires better than the guys in front of you, there is a big chance of making positions during pitstops.
With the current rules, the midfield teams qualifying 7-10 usually do so in the softest compound, while the rest are in a harder one... That forces them to pit earlier than those behind and get stuck in traffic.
But, at this point, talking about race strategy is premature to say the least... But I much rather they managing the tires during the race than been a “one-lap” wonder.
