Sounds angry.... but why the 'alien autopsy' filter on the video..
Minimum CoG is exclusive of coolers and intake IIRC.aleks_ader wrote: ↑26 Jan 2020, 00:14Plus in rules there is prescribed minimum CofG number from reference plane.
Code: Select all
5.4.2 The centre of gravity of the power unit may not lie less than 200mm above the reference plane.
Based on how the teams were power wise last year, Renault can maybe afford to slightly ease up on engine and focus on chassis and DF. That being said - being able to operate at the higher modes for longer is the key and still keep reliability. They have the power but usually they have to turn down the engine too many times.
I agree.PowerandtheGlory wrote: ↑03 Mar 2020, 17:48Based on how the teams were power wise last year, Renault can maybe afford to slightly ease up on engine and focus on chassis and DF. Lastly- most efficiency/reliability/optimising improvement will naturally release Power, not a lot, but it will. So even small incremental increases will happen during the year. Renault had to focus on its weaknesses, which were reliability and chassis/aero. Power was good as per Canada and Italy, so this was less important.
Fingers crossed
Because the Mercedes PU is still a better unit? Or am I missing something here?JordanMugen wrote: ↑03 Mar 2020, 22:50It's certainly a solid unit. So why the heck did McLaren not continue the Renault deal?
Because reliability is still largely unproven and power output is no better than any of the other three manufacturers?JordanMugen wrote: ↑03 Mar 2020, 22:50It's certainly a solid unit. So why the heck did McLaren not continue the Renault deal?
