I have no idea what it is gonna be like. Some teams are working others aren't. Ferrari could show up with a whole new car.

nope
https://www.espn.com/f1/story/_/id/2902 ... s-pandemic

The U.S.-owned Haas Formula One team have furloughed most of their British-based employees, meaning half of the grid has now taken similar measures in response to the new coronavirus pandemic.

Think that's McLaren, Williams, Racing Point , Renault and now Haas.

They probably all have design and CFD still working. not sure about Wind tunnel. probably all of the manufacturing is shut down....

Actually you may be right cause I read that the Ferrari Manufacturing is shutdown ....

So maybe the people aren't furloughed but the manufacturing is still shutdown ...

So now that the start of the season is set to start in july, there are some news surrounding McLaren.

Sainz is more and more connected to Ferrari
McLaren gets a 300 mill financial injection
McLaren pushing Ferrari to reveal evidence of engine penalty
etc..

Do we have any inside news or something else?

That sounds more like money directed at the car manufacturing arm, keeping them afloat whilst they aren't going to be selling many cars, than the F1 team to me.

Indeed. The McLaren group has, from the top of my head, about 1.5-2 billion in outstanding debt that needs to be refinanced every few years.

What about the first 3 teams? Won't they have a huge debt since they spend more money than us?

I would presume that red Bull I prehaps in the best possition because they are probably still selling RedBull..

While Merc and Ferrari not so much. Ferrari probably has a long list of cars to manufacture. but like Merc I don't think all that Money comes just from Ferrari. I'm sure that alot of that Money comes from the parrent copmpany.

That being said I don't understand why Ferrari don't agree with the budget cuts to 100M. While I understand RBR reasoning. What's the point of Advertising for Merc if you can't walk into a dealership to buy a car nor can you drive it around much anyways....

Ferrari “runs” more or less the Philip Morris team now, so they have lots of funding and zero problems. RedBull has basically the same deal, with the only difference that they actually own their racing team.
For Mercedes it’s a bit trickier, but in this case size and history matters I guess. Daimler is a bit bigger then McLaren and hasn’t had its whole company build up the past decade with short and mid term loans.

For the parent car companies, Daimler, FCA, Renault-Nissan it could be harsh times.. but most of them were in pretty good condition after the crash of 07-08.
