I think that's possibly the best (and most likely) outcome for McLaren as a whole. Heritage assets are protected, and the terms of the loan will be far better than they could get from anywhere else.Ground Effect wrote: ↑24 Jun 2020, 16:18Like the Beatles said... “I get by with a little help from my friends”

The loan, which is set to be approved by the McLaren board, will come from the National Bank of Bahrain (NBB).
NBB is part-owned by Mumtalakat, the Gulf state's sovereign investment fund, which is the majority shareholder in the McLaren Group.
ZAK has nothing to do with SCD. Official title is CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER, McLAREN RACINGPlatinumZealot wrote: ↑24 Jun 2020, 23:28Ok so they should escape by the hair on their chins.
Anyone more informed than I am can say if this pressure was mostly due to the supercars division? And how waa the F1 team faring in terms of losses?
And does Zak have anything to do with the supercars division?
They didn't need that cash for racing, but to service debts and that was largely down to automotive, although not entirely. The accounts are done at group level though so it's hard to break it all down, but if I recall, the F1 team had been making £50m (ish) loss in 18, not sure about 19.PlatinumZealot wrote: ↑24 Jun 2020, 23:28Ok so they should escape by the hair on their chins.
